1. Creativity

     a. Shows an original idea/view

     b. Incorporates something unique to the artist

2. Quality of Work

     a. Shows the artist spent time on their piece

     b. Looks finished and professional, not rushed and half done

Photography:

 1. Lighting

   a. Interesting or appropriate lighting

   b. Shows artist planned or made arrangements for taking photo

 2. Proportions

   a. Interesting proportions

   b. Shows good balance and composition

 

2D:

 1. Colors

   a. Thoughtful color composition

 2. Quality of work

   a. No pencil lines or eraser marks (unless intended)

   b. Piece looks finished

 

3D:

 1. Texture

   a. Interesting texture or embellishments on piece

 2. Color

   a. Shows artist payed attention to glazing or coloring to enhance piece

 3. Weight

  a. Shows form of piece is balanced and well crafted (“a good weight”)
