Anthology

Aidan Seguin ~ Grade 10

An anthology of anthropology.

Random explosions,

Fire and ice.

None is now one.

And that happens twice.

Arms, legs,

Hands, feet.

They sprout from us,

On land we meet.

The mighty fall,

As we strike a match.

And with our tools,

The land we snatch.

Kingdoms rise,

Blood drains.

Kingdoms fall.

Flesh stains.

A garden of beauty,

A place of peace.

Why sully with war,

And the cutting of trees.

Planned explosions,

Fire and ice.

One is now none.

No time to think twice.
